Detailed Description
Our journey begins with the discovery of Subotica, a city that feels like an open-air museum of Art Nouveau. From the vibrant atmosphere of the local marketplace to the silent majesty of the Synagogue, we explore the "most Hungarian city in Serbia."
After immersing ourselves in the urban pulse, we retreat to Palić, the elegant resort town. Here, the pace slows down among century-old oaks and the shimmering waters of the lake. The weekend concludes with the authentic atmosphere of a "Salaš" (traditional farmstead), where the flavors of the region tell their own story before you head home refreshed.
Program Flow
Day 1: The Magic of Subotica’s Secession
- Arrival: Morning arrival from Hungary (individual travel or train).
- Flea Market: 10:00 – 12:30 visit to the famous Subotica marketplace.
- City Discovery: 13:00 Guided tour of the center: the Synagogue and City Hall (interior visits), Raichle Palace, and the street of Old Craftsmen.
- Lunch: 15:30 Traditional meal at a local favorite (Bates, Walter, or similar).
- Evening: Check-in at your Palić accommodation and dinner.
Day 2: Active Bliss & Wine World
- Lakeside Walk: Morning tour of Palić’s landmarks: Water Tower, Grand Terrace, and the Women’s Lido.
- Afternoon Leisure: Free time for optional activities: bike carriage, wellness time, or the PALIĆ ZOO.
