Why is this tour special?
This program is designed specifically for families and children who want to explore Subotica in a playful, visual, and engaging way.
The tour starts at the local Tour Info office, where every child receives their own Subotica Passport.
In this passport, children collect stamps after visiting four iconic Art Nouveau locations.
The children’s goal is simple and motivating: collect all 4 stamps and become a “real Subotica explorer.”
How does the stamp collecting work?
During the guided walk, the family visits 4 Art Nouveau sites, and each site adds a stamp to the passport.
The 4 Art Nouveau stops:
- Town Hall – the colorful crown of Subotica
- Synagogue – one of Europe’s most beautiful Art Nouveau temple
- Raichle Palace – a fairytale palace
- Museum – the guardian of the city’s history
After each stop: 1 stamp in the passport
At the end of the tour: 4 stamps = completed explorer journey
What do we do during the tour?
- Walk at a comfortable pace
- Short, child-friendly explanations about the buildings
- Observe colors, shapes, and decorations
- Take photos at the most beautiful spots
- Enjoy a shared family experience without pressure or “testing”
The focus is not on knowledge, but on experience and the joy of achievement.
What does the guide talk about? (in kid-friendly language)
- Why are these buildings so colorful?
- What does Art Nouveau mean (simply explained)?
- Why are these houses important for Subotica?
- How did people and children live here in the past?
No questions, no worksheets – just observation, wonder, and discovery.

- Grandparents with grandchildren
- First-time visitors to Subotica with kids

Why is this better than a “simple city tour with kids”?
